• Obituary: Freeport Journal-Standard, 26 Dec 1946, Freeport, Stephenson County, Ilinois. Mrs. Carrie S. Wait, 75, widow of W. N. Wait, passed away early Christmas morning at a local hospital. She had been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Charles Zipse, 905 South Oak avenue. Funeral services will be held at the Burington funeral home, Orangeville, at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon. Rev. John Bruce, pastor of Red Oak Methodist church, will conduct the services and interment will be made in Cedarville cemetery. Carrie S. Price, daughter of the late James and Lydia Price, was born in Waddams township, Dec. 8, 1871. Her marriage to William N. Wait took place Aug. 30, 1896. She is survived by one daughter. Mrs. Charles (Flossie) Zipse, Freeport. There are four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A sister and a brother also survive, Miss Lizzie Price, McConnell; A. A. Price, Pleasant Dale, Neb.; a daughter, Mrs. Morris (Verda) Zurbriggen, Inglewood, Calif, preceded her in death as did two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Ada Hoffman, Mrs. Jennie Jones, Howard Price. One granddaughter also preceded her in death.
Carrie married William Nelson Wait, son of Asa Wait and Marie E. Williams, on 30 Aug 1896 in Stephenson County, Illinios. (William Nelson Wait was born in Aug 1869 in Waddams Towhship, Stephenson County, Illinois and died on 16 Sep 1942 in Freeport, Stephenson County, Ilinois.)
