Edward Pearl Quinn, oldest son of Thomas and Maude Quinn, was born in Furnas County south of Oxford, December 28, 1897 and passed away at Oxford on February 28, 1971 at the age of 73 years.

He was united in married to Rozella Philby on January 1, 1919 and to this union one daughter was born. His whole life was spent in this community.

He worked for the Burlington Railroad many years in and out of Oxford, retiring in 1963.

He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge many years. He loved sports of all kinds and enjoyed a wide circle of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Rozella; daughter, Betty Jean Wagner and son-in-law, Virgil Wagner, and granddaughter Nancy Jean Wagner, of Holdrege, Nebr.; two brothers, William of Alda, Nebr. and James of Lincoln; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were conducted at Mitchell Funeral Home, Oxford, March 2, 1971 with Rev. Henry Geigle officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Darlene Samples and Mrs. Delores Monk with Mrs. Mae Fisher at the organ. Interment was in the Oxford Cemetery. Pallbearers were Emery Quinn, Floyd Quinn, George Quinn, Howard Quinn, John Quinn and Jim Quinn.
