Obituary, 1964. Frank Alvin Goosic, son of C. W. and Maty Goosic, was born in Furnas County, Jan. 27, 1901, and departed this life on March 11, 1964, at the age of 63 years.

He spent his entire lifetime in this community.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mertie, who was the oldest in the family. He is survived by four sisters and four brothers: Verda Hall of Lexington, W. A. Goosic of Orleans, Addie Hall of Beaver City, Elzie Goosic of McCook, Earl Goosic of Oxford, Virgil Goosic or Phoenix, Ariz., Goldie Lawter of Apache Jct., Ariz., and Sylvia Gouldie of Denver, all of whom attended the service, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial services were conducted at Mitchell Funeral Home, Oxford, March 15th with Rev. Walter Bailey officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Mae Fisher and Mrs. Dorothy Hays with Mrs. Edna Lueking at the organ. Bearers were Kenneth Burden, Leonard Gupton, Kenneth Hornaday, Geo. Quinn, Charles Dillman and Hobart Howard. Interment was in the Turner cemetery near Hollinger.

Other relatives and friends attending the service, besides all his sisters and brothers were Helen Daharsh, Betty Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Daharsh, Holdrege; Charles Hall, Denver; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Goosic, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mr. and Mrs. Marion Stubbs, Lexington; Mrs. Morris Mullis, Holdrege; other relatives from Beaver City and Orleans.
