We are informed that it is not true that Mrs. Ault's carriage was cut at Bob Town, as was stated in the JOURNAL-Bulletin. As the JOURNAL never stated that Mrs. Ault had a carriage, or ever had a carriage, or ever expected to have one ; and as the JOURNAL never said one word about Mrs. Ault's carriage being cut, the information given to the Bulletin is rather mixed.

In 1884 she was married to A. H. Stahl of Lena, Ill., and for thirteen years they trod the pathway of life together. At the age of sixteen years she united with the Lutheran church and always led to that faith. She was an invalid for the last few years and since the 12th of Dec. 1896 was confined to her bed in an almost helpless condition, but bore her sufferings with patience and resignation knowing that "He who doeth all things well" was her strength and support.

She was a great lover of flowers and her room was kept bright continually with bouquets sent by friends to cheer "Aunt Lucy" as she was familiarly called by old and young.

Funeral services were conducted last Sunday by Rev. Groff and the little church on the hill to which she always so liberally contributed was filled to overflowing by those who came to pay their last sad respects to one who had been an "old settler" in this community so many years.
