Venerable Aaron Stahl Stricken Last Evening--Dead This Morning.
Burial at Lena.
Aaron Stahl, the venerable father of Mrs. R. J. Kiplinger of 1205 East State Street, died this morning at 5:45 o'clock from the effects of a stroke of paralysis sustained about 7 o'clock last evening. The attack was severe from the first and was pronounced fatal by the physician who was immediately called. From the time of the seizure until the end came, the patient never regained consciousness. The body will be taken to Lena, his former home, for intermant. The funeral will take place Friday.
Mr. Stahl was in the seventy-first year of his age and had been in feeble health for the past three years, due to several slight paralytic attacks. There were no premonitory symptoms of the attack which terminated his life and he ate his usual supper with apparent relish. A short time afterward he was stricken while seated in his chair.
The deceased is survived by his venerable wife, one daughter and a sister, all of whom were present at the time of death.
He was not widely known here as he came to Rockford with the family of his son-in-law, Mr. Kiplinger, from Lena, only last fall.
Aaron married Sarah E. Wickelblech on 27 Oct 1861 in Stephenson County, Illinios. (Sarah E.
