Obituary, Jul 1987. Robert "Bob" Arron Quinn, one of five children of Michael and Anna (Gilchrist) Quinn, was born on March 11, 1906 in Furnas County, Nebraska and died on July 29, 1987 in Beaver City at the age of 81.

He attended school in Hollinger, Beaver City and at the Buffalo rural school north of Oxford. He worked as a caretaker at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Beaver City. In the early 1940's, he moved to Long Beach, CA where he worked with the Edison Electrical Company for 32 years. In 1977, he returned to Beaver City where he resided at the time of his death.

Survivors include a son, Bob and wife Vlesta of Lincoln; a close friend, Lucy Leonard of Beaver City; brother, Floyd of Oxford; sister, Ella Weir and husband, Cecil of Beaver City; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie in 1978; his parents and brothers, Emery and Frank.

Funeral services were held on August 1, at the Mitchell-Nelson Funeral Home in Oxford, with Rev. James Hardy officiating. Music was provided by Laurie Hardy, with Beulah Fish as organist. Pallbearers were George, Howard and Eugene Quinn, Robert Longsine, Larry Marvin and E. M. Longsine. Interment was in the Oxford Cemetery.
